An incredible ballet deserves incredible costumes and these designs are just that! The amazing designs by Moritz Junge, compliment each story perfectly well, given each story its identity. The gold costumes in 'Orlando' ( Woolf Works ll ), men wearing big Elizabethan dresses, the ladies in their androgynous gold suits, are genius. I don't feel female or male, just a being. It makes you feel like a non-human dancing in space - unachored, unrestricted. Then there is 'The Waves' ( Woolf Works III ), muted, understated with use of fine netting and muslin, perfectly compliments the choreography and music. I particularly love the headdress the corps wear, simple yet effective.
